On December 3 & 4, 2022, the NWMW NPO organization made its first outreach attempt to the community of Tinos with a series of events held in three different spaces, at the Cultural Center of Panormos Tinos, the blacksmith shop of Kostas Alexopoulos and the quarry of Agios Eleftherios. On December 3rd at the Cultural Center of Panormos Tinos, the activity focused on the presentation of the “Fe26” project and its implementation by NWMW NPO and the Inherited Earth International Open call was announced. The residency was held at the quarry of Agios Eleftherios in April – May 2023. The evening ended with a musical event with traditional music at the old smithy of Kostas Alexopoulos. On the 4 of December, the activity focused on the history of the quarry of Agios Eleftherios, the history of quarrying from the ancient times till now and marble crafting, its relationship with the iron craft. The activity included a brief presentation of the residency program regarding the area used by the artists. Lastly, a makeshift marble workshop in the quarry of St. Eleftherios was held by Yorgos Vidos.
